Article 26. Full active legal capacity of a natural person

(1) Full active capacity begins on the date when a natural person becomes an adult, i.e. when he or she reaches 18 years of age.
(2) A minor acquires full active capacity by marriage.  The ending of marriage does not affect the active legal capacity of a minor. In case of a marriage is declared null, a court may deprive the minor spouse of full active capacity as of the time determine by such court.
(3) A minor who reached the age of 16 ani may gain full active capacity if he or she works under an employment contract or, with consent of parents, adopter or curator, carries out a business.  Full active capacity is granted to a minor (emancipation) by way of a decision of the guardianship authority, with the consent of both parents, adopters or the curator, and, in absence of such consent — by way of judgment.
