Article 497. Acquisition of fruits of the possessed property. Value of use of the property
(1) A good faith possessor acquires ownership to the fruits of the possessed property. It is bound to return neither the fruits nor the value of the use of the possessed property if it acquired the property for a consideration.
(2) A possessor must be in good faith at the time when the fruits are collected. Civil fruits collected in advance are of the possessor to the extent that its good faith is maintained at their maturity.
(3) In the case provided for in paragraph (1), a possessor is not entitled to reimbursement of the usual maintenance costs of the possessed property.
(4) The provisions on unjustified enrichment remain applicable to the extent that they are not contrary to this Article.
